Wade Mason was born and raised in Indiana, just outside of Indianapolis.
During his school years, he managed to excel as a student, in addition to leading an interesting extracurricular life. At age 13, he visited Europe (specifically France, Switzerland, and Italy) for the first time with his sister’s high school trip. After getting his driver’s license, he began working at a White Castle. That same year, he visited Alaska and Northwestern Canada as part of a six-week-long Wilderness Ventures trip.
As a high school senior, he qualified for two state-level competitions as a senior: as a member of the English Academic team as well as being a partner in the Ford Automotive Technology Troubleshooting Competition. Following high school, Wade went straight into the workforce as an automotive technician, but within a few years changed his career to event photography.
At 25 years old, he decided to go to college, and attended Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis, earning a B.A. in Philosophy with minors in Biology and French. During this time he also completed a study abroad program in Strasbourg, France, and spent another six weeks backpacking around Europe.
Since graduating from college, he has been writing and doing freelance work in his native Indiana.
